Grammar Books on British English

The English language is the international lingua franca of this century. It is a West Germanic language that is originally from England and spread throughout the world through the British Empire. After the disintegration of the British Empire, English has remained either as an official language or non-official language that is widely used in government, business, science, and technology in the countries that were part of the empire.

“British English” is the term often used nowadays to distinguish the variety of the language that is spoken in England and the wider United Kingdom (because of strong similarities in spelling and vocabulary among the constituent countries of the UK). England’s English is still a powerful variety of the English language today despite the growing use of the other types of the language in the international scene, especially American English. If you are interested in learning the language of England, you will find the following grammar books extremely useful.
